The Scout X4 drone, the QR Ladybird V2 and the Tali H500 are a few models. There’s a new model on the market that can compete with the DJI Inspire 1. We at DronesWorld present you Walkera Voyager 3 Review. Find out more about this aircraft below through our detailed Walkera 3 Voyager review.
Inside the bundle
Back when Walkera Voyager 3 was first released, it created hype in the drone community. On one side, there are fans that like this product and regard it as the next superstar drone. On the other side, there are fans who consider Walkera Voyager 3 a rip-off of the DJI Inspire 1, which had an earlier release date.

It contains the aircraft combined with the battery and its charger. The Devo F12E transmitter is also included which provides FPV navigation. The design is nice and simple; it looks similar to the Inspire 1 model. It has a similar retractable landing gear and gimbal. The output quality is same as well.
Walkera Voyager 3 has a unique feature of providing a visual indicator of aircraft’s battery status. The Voyager 3 is a close competitor of DJI inspire 1.

The navigation is similar with Inspire 1 and the Voyager 3. The Inspire 1 has the option to fly indoor. The advantage of its rival is that it has Optical Flow technology that simplifies the flight through solid barriers. These are some cons of the Voyager 3 but it has many other interesting features that make up for it. For example, the Voyager 3 comes with a dual navigation system including GPS and GLONASS technology for a safer and more accurate flight. It has double satellite navigation and positioning system. The Voyager 3 has an option for flight planning. Some options include: automatic flight, smart take off and landing, follow me technology which makes the drone follow the pilot automatically. In terms of navigation, the decision of which drone is better depends on how you plan to fly the machine.
We might say that in terms of battery life it’s nearly the same for Inspire 1 and Walkera Voyager 3. Both aircraft have the same advertised flight time of 20-25 minutes. In real life scenario, of course, the flight time is dependent on the weather. But as far as the competition tests go, the Voyager 3 wins by a very small margin. The Voyager 3 comes with 2 29.6V LiPo batteries. It is nuclear battery lithium polymer technology. The battery level is displayed on a LED light. It provides an intelligent monitoring of working status via LED status lights. To extend the flight time, Walkera used a 29.6 V 3000mAh battery. The batteries have an ON/OFF switch and we recommend switching it OFF when not in use. Voyager 3, despite being heavy and bulky, is able to fly in the air at least 20 minutes, even with the occasional wind.
Regarding safety, the Walkera Voyager 3 is a little shaky. The aircraft is durable and can withstand minor crashes but the propellers might break at contact.
Some users complain about the high temperature the aircraft generates. Some users report that the motor tends to set on fire during extremely extended flights. The heat is something we have noticed. After an hour of aircraft usage, we recommend letting it cool down a few minutes before using it again.
Walkera Voyager 3 comes with a self-inspection pod that provides a status separately for power, GPS, barometer, compass and much more to detect any malfunctions when working.
